The aim of the Centre is to understand the appropriate form for the organisation of public services. Outcomes that society cares about, such as health and education, are jointly determined by:

• How public services are delivered: the role of choice, competition and incentives
• Organisational culture, the legal framework and public service motivation
• The responses of individuals and families in co-producing those outcomes
• The social environment: the role of neighbourhoods, segregation and peer groups    

The Centre is jointly funded by the Leverhulme Trust.
