The role of the Knowledge Exchange Team is to lead the ESRC’s engagement with stakeholders in Government, the wider public sector, business and civil society.

In our role as knowledge brokers, the team can help social scientists engage with potential users by offering advice and practical help. We facilitate links between researchers and policy-makers and practitioners, encouraging collaboration to maximise the potential for using and applying research in policy and practice. Through our extensive links, we can help research users find and develop new research opportunities,partnerships and placements. We can help research centres and individual researchers engage with potential users and develop their research programmes.

As well as managing a variety of knowledge exchange schemes, we also aim to build the capacity of those engaging in knowledge exchange and can provide advice, support and training.
