The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) is seeking to commission an evaluation of the Waste of the World Large Grant. The Large Grant aimed to produce a defining social science study of waste for academics, policymakers and stakeholders to reconceptualise the place of waste and how we think of waste.

The evaluation will be undertaken by an independent consultant and will provide:

• accountability to the ESRC for its investment in the Large Grant
• feedback for those supported under the Large Grant
• through publication of the executive summary, information and guidance for those in academic; policy and practitioner communities
• guidance on future priorities for ESRC (where appropriate).
