International benchmarking review of UK human geography
In 2012, the ESRC, in partnership with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and the Arts and Humanities Research Council commissioned a review to benchmark the quality and impact of human geography research in the UK against international standards.
The review, which gathered evidence from a range of sources, was conducted by a panel of leading international scholars and chaired by Professor David Ley, University of British Columbia. The Society hosted the official launch of the review report on 4 March 2013.
