The ESRC can support your public engagement activities in a number of ways:

• You can include the cost of engagement activities in your grant application.
• ESRC centres and programmes have some limited budgets to support wider engagement activities.

There are many good places to practice public engagement skills. ESRC opportunities include:

• The Festival of Social Science - the ESRC offers up to £2000 funding for social science researchers to engage with non-academic audiences.
• Researchers in Residence (external website) - links a secondary school with a social science researcher.
