This 'End Use Energy Demand Centre - Champion' call is the first of a two stage process designed to launch the next phase of Research Council investment in End Use Energy Demand. This will include:

  • Stage 1: End Use Energy Demand Centre - Champion call
Aimed at identifying a leader and building a consortium
  • Stage 2: End Use Energy Demand Centre call
Invited stage for full proposals for a new national centre

Stage one is a competition to identify the appropriate Champion who will act as thought leader, flag bearer, and strategy owner for the End Use Energy Demand (EUED) community. The successful candidate will be provided with nine months' worth of funding and support from EPSRC and ESRC staff to consult with the wider research community to develop a consensus around a research agenda, build a multidisciplinary research consortium and plan a programme of research to address the key questions in the identified agenda.
