HMRC Datalab
The HMRC Datalab is a new Research Data Centre that allows access to anonymised HM Revenue & Customs data for approved academic researchers in a secure environment that is consistent with HMRC data security policy.
The aim of the HMRC Datalab is to produce high quality academic research that will benefit both the department and the wider research community, helping HMRC to make the most of the data it collects. Datasets currently held in the Datalab include Corporation Tax, VAT, Stamp Duty Land Tax and Trade Statistics.
Academic researchers whose projects have been approved by HMRC and have completed the required training will be able to use the HMRC Datalab in London to access anonymised administrative and survey data that are relevant to their project.
