Interview with Lena Dominelli International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW)
International Impact of Durham Research Lena Dominelli (Applied Social Sciences; IHRR) represented the social work profession at the United Nations Climate Change talks in Durban, South Africa just before Christmas and also organised an exhibition 'Unsung Heroes: Empowering Disaster Survivors and Communities through Social Work Practice' show-casing initiatives and research into climate change and related disasters undertaken by academics at Durham University amongst others and including her ‘Internationalising Institutional and Professional Practices Project’. Professor Dominelli also played a leading role in drafting the NGO statement on the impact of climate change on women across the world, presented at a press conference by the Asia-Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development and the Women’s Research Network on Climate Change.
