Research symposium held in Trinidad
In relation to the budget allocated to the project, the number of participants had to be limited to forty-five which was far less than the number of requests received. However, through the website facility offered by Stop It Now! the content of the programme is being accessed by a wider audience. For rapid dissemination of research findings, all of the presentations and training material were posted on the Stop It Now! website and are accessible to participants and the general public, http://www.stopitnow.org/trinidad_training. It is intended that the ready access to this data will encourage users of the materials to develop agency specific training modules and professional development programmes. Hence, the project provided a platform that encouraged greater engagement and dialogue between academics, policy-makers and professionals interested in the prevention of child sexual abuse.
