We are delighted to announce that our 2017 Festival of Social Science will take place from 4-11 November 2017 and the call for applications will be live on 29 March.
Without events being organised and run by individuals and groups across the country, putting forward creative and innovative ways to present social science, there would be no Festival to celebrate. Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated and valued.
In 2016 over 270 events ran across the UK, taking the social sciences to diverse and new audiences covering a range of topics from early development to dementia. The last year’s Festival reached over 29,500 people - a 14 per cent increase on 2015.
This year will be the 15th ESRC Festival of Social Science and we hope that it will be even bigger and better. Why not take a look at some of the videos, photos and presentations from events held last year to give you some inspiration?
This year we are encouraging even more social scientists to get involved in the Festival and particularly welcome applications from early career researchers, the East of England and London, so please spread the word to colleagues and students around you.
