This event aims to support A-level psychology teachers to deliver fun and effective research methods in their teaching.
You'll hear three short talks covering:
- recent research on maths anxiety
- providing effective feedback
- increasing student engagement and learning.
The focus is on how research evidence can be applied within A-level classrooms and the event aims to provide practical and useful suggestions about what works.
After the talks, hands-on demonstrations provide practical experience with a range of equipment used in social science research. For example: measuring brainwaves with EEG testing; assessing visual attention with eye-tracking; and a driving simulator that tests how good your reactions are behind the wheel. Having first-hand experience of this equipment is intended to help inspire and enhance your teaching.
The event also includes time for networking with other delegates and academics from Staffordshire University.
