Adoption activity day

Results from the US show that 'adoption activity days', where prospective adopters meet children in a fun-filled relaxed setting, lead to significantly more adoptions than more traditional methods. Such success could be replicated in the UK, suggests a pilot project at Manchester Metropolitan University run in collaboration with the British Association of Adoption and Fostering and a group of local authorities in the East Midlands. Lead researcher Dr Katherine Runswick-Cole explains more about research findings from adoption activity days.
