We will be running a selection of media training days in a number of locations for ESRC funded mid-career researchers between January and March. If you would like further information or to register to attend, please email: charles.clerck@esrc.ac.uk

Winners of the 2011 Digging into Data challenge

Analysing 600 years of music, drilling down into population databases, understanding social unrest through digitised newspapers - these are just some of the new lines of research that the winners of the second Digging into Data Challenge will now undertake.

Riots: the research evidence

A new section on our website presents ESRC-funded research related to riots and the broader issues - such as policing, the role of social media, community cohesion, parenting and wider inequalities.

British Election Study

We will be inviting applications in the spring for a new British Election Study. Funding for the current study ends in late 2012 and it is envisaged that the new British Election Study will start no later than autumn 2013, perhaps earlier to cover the possibility of a snap election being called.
