The recent Richard Review of Apprenticeships has recommended several measures to improve the quality of apprenticeships for employers and apprentices.

Research from the ESRC Centre in Skills, Knowledge and Organisational Performance (SKOPE) has identified key characteristics for successful participants in vocational training. The researchers collaborated with the National Apprenticeship Service to develop vocational excellence, improving the UK selection process for the WorldSkills Competition.
